The Funding Commitment

Ireland's farmland has changed dramatically over the past fifty years: field sizes have increased, hedgerows have been removed, grassland management has intensified, and the diversity of flowering plants in agricultural landscapes has declined significantly. The Protecting Farmland Pollinators programme provides farmers with guidance, practical support and, through the agri-environment schemes administered by the Department of Agriculture, financial incentives for management practices that benefit pollinators alongside agricultural productivity.
What Citizen Science Is Contributing
